ABOUT US
Presque Isle Air Museum is an all-volunteer organization founded in 1999 whose mission is to honor those who served their country during WWII and the Cold War at Presque Isle’s air base; to promote awareness of the unique aviation history here especially in its roles as Presque Isle Army Air Field and, after 1947, Presque Isle Air Force Base; to establish, maintain and operate a repository for the artifacts which showcase this unique history; and to encourage public education in Maine’s schools, colleges and universities regarding the pivotal role that Presque Isle’s air field played in local and US history.
